This draft explains the information Sylvuno currently uses during development and closed testing, why it is needed and what controls members have.
Last updated 8 August 2026 · Closed-beta draft1. What Sylvuno stores
Sylvuno stores the account identity supplied through ChatGPT sign-in, your public display name, profile details, broad nature interests and your chosen account type. It also stores content you create, such as observations, captions, broad regions, comments, appreciations, follows, collections, reports and moderation appeals.
2. Images and location protection
Uploaded images are recreated before publication so embedded metadata, including GPS metadata, is removed. Sylvuno stores the prepared viewing image and a feed-sized copy. Members provide only a broad region; exact observation coordinates are not requested or published.
3. Automated safety review
Images and captions are sent for automated safety analysis to check nature context, visible text, advertising, suggestive material and graphic content. Sylvuno stores the outcome and a short reason. Uncertain or disputed decisions can be reviewed by a human moderator. The safety system is not used to identify people.
4. Why information is used
- to create and secure the member account;
- to publish, organize and show community content;
- to protect exact observation locations;
- to moderate content, investigate reports and handle appeals;
- to provide Premium features and confirm subscription status;
- to prevent spam, abuse and unsafe access.
5. Service providers
ChatGPT provides normal member sign-in. OpenAI services are used for automated image and caption safety analysis. Stripe handles checkout, billing and payment-card information; Sylvuno stores only the customer, subscription and plan status needed to provide Premium. The Sites hosting platform and its Cloudflare infrastructure provide application hosting, structured data storage and image storage.
6. Public and private information
Your display name, profile introduction, interests, approved observations, broad regions and public interactions can be visible to other members. Reports, blocks, mutes, moderation evidence, payment status and private collections are restricted to the member or authorized staff as appropriate.
7. Retention
Profile and community content remain while the account exists or until the member deletes the relevant content. Safety and transaction records may be retained when needed to resolve disputes, prevent abuse or meet legal and accounting obligations. Final retention periods will be documented before public launch.
8. Your controls and rights
The Account view lets a signed-in member download a structured copy of their Sylvuno data and permanently delete a non-owner account. An active Stripe subscription must be ended first. Members can also edit their profile, remove their own content, appeal moderation and manage blocking or muting.
People in the European Economic Area may also have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. The European Data Protection Board provides official guidance on individual rights.
9. Login security
Members can choose Google on the secure ChatGPT sign-in screen. Sylvuno does not receive or store your Google or ChatGPT password. Email verification, password changes and account recovery are handled by the identity provider. The separate Free and Premium test passwords are temporary development access and will be removed before public launch.
10. Cookies and local browser storage
During the closed beta, Sylvuno uses only essential sign-in and security cookies, including the temporary test session when a development login is used. A small browser-storage value remembers that the essential-cookie notice was dismissed. Advertising and analytics cookies are not currently active.
11. Beta feedback
Feedback sent through Beta Lab stores the tester identity, category, optional feature name, message, review status and any administrator response. It is visible to the tester and authorized administrators, included in the tester’s data export and deleted with the tester’s account.
12. International processing
Sylvuno uses service providers that may process data in more than one country. The final notice will identify the controller, processors, transfer safeguards, legal bases and privacy contact before public availability.
